Peter Berry has been a very popular Spondon councillor for some time now and is also a former Mayor of Derby. Peter was born and bred in Spondon but spent 25 years in the Army before returning home. He worked for the Royal Mail for a long period and many of you will remember him as the Spondon Village 'Postie'. Peter, along with your other Conservative councillors, Evonne Williams and Chris Poulter, have recently secured a significant investment package for Spondon from the City Council that includes; A £238,000 resurfacing programme for pavements in Spondon, replacement play area equipment on Brunswood Park, £50,000 for Spondon to be Neighbourhood Priority Area to create a cleaner, greener and safer place to live and a traffic congestion, a feasibility study on Chapel Street in a effort to reduce the traffic problems in this area of Spondon. With your support on Thursday May 3rd, Peter will continue to work hard for Spondon. |
